Congratulations to our newest homeowner. Today we celebrated Pam and her family. She is now the proud owner of our 140th Aiken Habitat home with an affordable mortgage. Pam put in sweat equity by working along side our volunteers every weekend participating in the construction of her home and also attending financial counseling provided by Security Federal Bank. It’s through the continued support from our community that we are able to provide a safe and affordable housing through our homeownership program.

Shelter is not a privilege — it’s a human need. We know that to a brighter future. That decent, affordable housing plays a key role in an individual’s education, physical and mental health, wealth, and well-being. Not everyone has the same opportunities to succeed, but with your help we can to new possibilities.

Please help the Aiken County Habitat for Humanity by rounding up or giving a little extra donation when you make a purchase from the ReStore. Your donations stay in the local area to help us provide quality and affordable housing in Aiken County.

Construction of our 140th home in Aiken County is underway and over the next few months will be completed and purchased with an affordable mortgage by a deserving family.
Not much progress today due to the snow. However, over the past three weekends, our amazing construction volunteers have framed the house, sheathed and house wrapped the exterior walls and installed the trusses.
