Albany Police Investigating Homicide
Albany, NY- Albany Police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred this morning on Hudson Avenue.
On Sunday, October 4, 2026 around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to the area of Hudson Avenue near Partridge Street for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located four victims with gunshot wounds.
A 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound was treated by the Albany Fire Department and emergency medical personnel and subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the arm was treated at the scene by the Albany Fire Department and emergency medical personnel. He was then transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An 18-year-old female with a graze wound to her head and an 18-year-old male with a graze wound to his hand were located at the scene and refused any medical treatment.
The name of the victim will not be released until proper notifications have been made.
