Our unemployment insurance system upgrade begins MONDAY, 11/02/2026 at 5 PM. While the system is unavailable, you still need to continue to complete and record your work search activities.

To stay eligible for benefits, complete and record at least THREE work search activities each week.

We join the labor community in mourning the passing of Dolores Huerta, a trailblazer of the civil rights and labor movements.

Her lifelong advocacy helped transform the labor movement, securing historic protections, and paving the way for generations of workers to stand up for their rights.

Her legacy continues to inspire our work protecting the rights, safety, and dignity of New York’s workers.

Big news for New York schools! 👏

Congratulations to our partners at the New York State Education Department New York State Education Department on receiving $8.4 in federal funding to strengthen the educator workforce in high-needs schools.

The grant will support the New York Educator Career Continuum Initiative, with the development and expansion of the Teacher Registered Apprenticeship (T-RAP) at its center.

We look forward to our continued partnership and helping more New Yorkers enter the teaching profession.

👉 Career Centers will be open virtually from November 3 – November 27 to assist customers. Unfortunately, staff cannot answer questions related to unemployment insurance during these appointments.
