We can't let the month pass us by without recognizing our building principals! The time, dedication, ongoing support, and leadership they provide to our buildings each and every day does not go unnoticed.
Mr. Sinclair, Mr. Richards, Mrs. Parker, Mr. Allison, and Mrs. Longtin- we appreciate you and all you do for our schools! 👏 Go Comets!

North Polk CSD was Iowa's featured district at this week's Fall ITEC (Iowa Technology & Education Connection) conference. Shout out to the 8 NP educators who presented at this year's conference. We also had a group of students attend the conference and present on how they are using technology and coding in their classroom. Go Comets!

Congratulations to our North Polk Nutrition Department who was awarded the Choose Iowa Local Food for Schools award. This initiative connects Iowa schools with local farmers and food producers. Last week we received watermelon delivered by Prudent Produce from Storybook Orchard in Story City. It was delicious!

We can't let the day go by without showing appreciation to our wonderful building custodians and specifically shouting out our maintenance team. KUDOS to June, Joe, and Drake for making a difference.

Parking Update for Football Game and Marching Invitational:

Due to the rainfall from last week, we will be closing off all the grass parking areas for tonight's football game and for tomorrow's marching invitational. For tonight, please use the middle school south and northwest parking lots for additional parking as needed. For tomorrow, there is parking at Keystone Church in north Ankeny and there will be continuous shuttle buses back and forth.

Additionally, we will NOT have the elementary play area (aka The Thunderdome) north of the stadium open tonight due to the wet ground issues.
