The Amherst Senior Center welcomes older adults from the many diverse populations residing in and around Amherst.

We foster mutual understanding and respect as we educate the community about aging, promote independence, advocate & build coalitions.

Amherst Seniors, election day is one week away! When you come out to vote at the Bangs Community Center, stop by the Amherst Senior Center and pick up a snack. Snacks will be available all day while supplies last. remember to elect and eat!

The Amherst Senior Services Center is taking a trip to the Yankee Candle Village on December 1, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Transportation and lunch will be provided to and from the Bangs Community Center. Space is limited, so sign up here: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/WxJKMxyqYv or come in to Senior Center and sign up to attend.

❄️ Amherst residents ages 65+: Get ready for winter!

Need sand for slippery walkways this winter? Contact Officer Jessica Damon at [email protected] to sign up for sand delivery on November 10.

Thank you to the Amherst Police Department (Official) and its partnering organizations for their continued support of Amherst’s older adults!

Sand for Seniors: For Amherst residents, aged 65+, the Amherst Police will deliver sand to use during winter weather on November 10. If you are in need of this service, please contact Officer Jessica Damon by email ([email protected]) with your name, address, and phone number.

The Amherst Senior Services Center has purchased 10 tickets for members to enjoy Fiddler on the Roof at the Academy of Music in Northampton on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
