We have TWO lunar events this week! ✨

The August 2026 full moon, known as the Sturgeon Moon, peaks on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 12:18 A.M. Eastern Time. This full moon coincides with a deep 96% partial lunar eclipse. The lunar eclipse creates a dramatic "blood moon" reddish-orange glow.

Do you have a Norway maple in your yard or on your property? This large fast-growing tree is widely planted as a resilient urban street tree, unfortunately it IS an invasive species in North America. It is native to Europe and Western Asia and regenerates prolifically, displacing native trees and shrubs.
Need some native and urban-tolerant trees to replace that pesky invasive? Here is a list of Native trees that offer dense shade, brilliant fall color, and support local wildlife -
Sugar Maple: The best native swap for traditional maple form and brilliant orange-red fall color.
Red Maple: Adapts well to wet or dry soil with stunning red autumn leaves.
Northern Red Oak: A tough, majestic canopy tree that feeds hundreds of native insects and bird species.
Black Gum: Features an upright shape, glossy green leaves, and blazing scarlet fall color.
American Basswood: Grows large and fast with fragrant spring flowers for bees.
And guess what… we sell every single one of these in our Tree Sale, going on NOW!
Come see us today to get your order form. Order deadline is Sept 4th!
