Come to Evergreen for a night of soup, grilled cheese, and community... leave with a New-To-You winter coat.

Over the next few weeks, we will be collecting winter coats. If you have one that your family has outgrown please bring it to the Evergreen office. We are excited for this coat swap that will help keep our scholars warm and help our families avoid another coat purchase!

There will be grilled cheeses on the grill and tomato soup in the crockpot available by donation, so have dinner with us and all proceeds will benefit the Evergreen Fund! We can't wait to see you ALL there!!!

We've talked a lot this week about how it takes many hands to make change here at Evergreen and these photos are such an amazing representation of that. Over fall break The United Way teamed up with Enbridge to work on some much needed improvements on campus. They tore down and reworked the retaining wall in front of the gym and did some painting work in the school. It is so special when our community shows up and works hard to create a campus that our scholars can thrive in. Thank you and for volunteering and showing up for us!

🔬🌼Last week our sixth graders learned about the anatomy of a flower and got to be scientists! They dissected flowers, seeing where stamen, pistil, petals and more could be found on different types of flowers, and in their journals labeled these parts. They learned about how they reproduce, became better acquainted with science equipment and expanded their observational skills. 🌻🌺

Thank you Marni for such a hands on learning experience!

🍁🌻HAPPY FALL BREAK!! 🌻🍂

This is just one small peek into all that we have been doing this year at Evergreen! We’ve been diving deep into curriculum, taking trips to reinforce all that our scholars are learning and to introduce new topics. There has been community building and time with friends as well!

Overall we are entering fall break with a feeling of gratitude for all of the time we’ve spent with your scholars so far this school year!

See you next Wednesday!
