🧡💜 Reminder -- Tomorrow is Color Wars Day at Koontz!

As part of our ongoing fundraiser for Eblen Charities throughout the month of October, tomorrow (Friday, October 23) is COLOR WARS DAY. For a donation of $1, students can wear their grade level team's color -- 5th grade is orange, and 6th grade is purple!

Where does your $1 go? ❤️

Eblen Charities helps Western North Carolina families facing hard times by providing assistance with housing, utilities, food, clothing, medical and dental needs, transportation, school supplies, and other emergencies. Eblen also partners with local schools to help make sure students have essentials like food, clothing, shoes, glasses, and supplies. Your Color Wars Day donation helps Eblen continue taking care of our neighbors right here in WNC!

🏎️💨 Start Your Engines! 🏁

This week, our 5th grade students put their creativity, problem-solving skills, and engineering knowledge to the test during an exciting in-school field trip with the NASCAR Hall of Fame!

The challenge? Design and build a car that moves using ONLY the materials provided in a bag!

Students had to think outside the box, experiment with different designs, and put their STEM skills into action. 🔧⚙️

What a fun way to bring science, technology, engineering, and math to life! 🚗💡
