There's a good chance you've seen the work of our individual volunteers during a visit to Piedmont Park, even if you didn't realize it! 🌳💚

They're the people helping keep the Park clean through Pitch In and Pick Up, planting and mulching during Stewardship Saturdays, sharing stories of the Park's past as History Tour Docents, and lending a hand at community events.

And those are just a few of the ways they contribute! We're grateful for the individuals who share their time and talents to help care for Piedmont Park and make it a welcoming place for everyone.

Meet the Paws of Piedmont! 🐾🌳

We’re excited to introduce a new series celebrating some of the four-legged friends who make Piedmont Park such a special place to explore, play and spend time together.

First up: meet Wells and Winston, two corgi brothers who love their morning hangouts at the Park. 💚

Wells and Winston, are self-described “Velcro dogs” who are never too far from their people—or each other. They love attention, puzzle games and dental treats (good hygiene is very important to these two!). And with their natural herding instincts, there’s usually no question about who’s keeping the pack together.

Thanks to their parent, , for introducing us to Wells and Winston!

Keep an eye out for more of the pets we meet around Piedmont Park. 🐶

We got creative at Piedmont Park during our recent Block Printing: Seasonal Cards workshop! 🍂🖐️ Participants joined Heather Baker of Paper & Penny Studio to carve their own linocut designs and turn them into a set of handmade seasonal cards.

Just in time for Halloween, Heather guided the group through the process from carving to printing, while each participant brought their own style to playful pumpkins, ghosts, and other seasonal designs. It was such a fun way to spend an evening learning a new technique and making something by hand. 🎃👻💚

A little spooky, a little creative, and a lot of fun. 🎃🌿

At our recent Cemeterium: Halloween Terrarium Workshop, participants joined Travis Ronis of Overall Designs ATL to build their own seasonal terrariums, complete with plants, decorative details, and plenty of personality.

We loved seeing everyone put their own spin on the theme and leave with something uniquely their own. 💚

Who's a good dog? Who deserves their very own bench? 🐶💚

We might be a little biased, but we think every pup in Piedmont Park is worthy of a little recognition.

Celebrate your favorite four-legged friend with a personalized bench plaque in one of our Dog Parks through the Adopt-a-Bench program.

Because being a very good dog deserves a little something extra.

Can we talk about last week's wedding at Piedmont Park?! 💍✨

Beautiful weather, gorgeous details, and a setting right in the heart of Atlanta. From the first look at the venue to the final touches, everything came together for a celebration worth remembering. 💚

One of our favorite things about hosting weddings is seeing how each couple transforms the space to reflect their own style and vision. And last week's celebration certainly gave us plenty to admire!

Midtown Quality of Life spent years bringing neighbors together and working on behalf of the Midtown community.

Following the organization’s sunset in 2025, MQL members chose to commemorate its years of service through the Conservancy’s Adopt-a-Bench program.

Now, MQL’s story has a place in the Park—a place to pause, reflect, and remember the work that brought people together. 🌳💚

When autumn leaves begin to gather beneath Piedmont Park’s trees, they become part of the care that keeps the Park thriving. 🍂🌳

Our Operations team puts them back to work around trees, where they can act as a natural mulch. As the leaves break down, they help retain soil moisture, moderate soil temperatures, reduce weeds, and return organic matter to the soil.

From everyday landscape care to long-term improvements, stewardship is in the details—and those details help keep Piedmont Park healthy, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone who spends time here. 💚

You can put fallen leaves to work at home, too! Try leaving a layer of leaves around your own trees to help nourish and protect the soil.
