As the cost of groceries and everyday essentials continues to rise, more families are struggling to put food on the table.
Across the South, 1 in 8 people experience food insecurity, and more than half are not eligible for SNAP or other government assistance.
The effects of hunger reach far beyond mealtime, impacting health, learning, and overall well-being. That's why we're working alongside community partners to bring food closer to home and address the root causes of hunger across Greater Atlanta. Read how at: https://uwatl.org/4dUnYHS
⚽ Atlanta is getting ready for the big stage. But for thousands of kids across our region, the game hasn’t even started.

📚 Early learning opportunities and access to books can play a big role in helping children feel prepared for their first day of school. Yet in Greater Atlanta, only 26% of children are proficient readers by 4th grade.
That’s why this morning, we partnered with Atlanta Public Schools for Kindergarten Fun Fest, where we hosted a Kindergarten Signing Celebration 🎓✏️
Pre-K scholars and their families had the chance to “commit” to an APS elementary school, receive a library nook filled with books to encourage reading at home, and learn about other resources to help make the transition into kindergarten a little smoother!
Our kid reporters asked our Small talk interviewees what they wished every kid in Atlanta could have 🎤. Listen in to hear some of their responses.
