The Beachwood Police Department is continuously striving to improve the way we deliver services to the community.

11/03/2026

The members of the Beachwood Police Department extend our deepest condolences to the North Royalton Fire Department as they mourn the loss of one of their own. The bond between law enforcement and the fire service extends far beyond the calls we answer together.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the firefighter's family, friends, fellow firefighters, and all those affected by this heartbreaking loss.

Please see our official Press Release for the incident that occurred last evening.

The Beachwood Police Department reminds residents that trick-or-treating will take place tomorrow, October 31, from 6:00–8:00 PM!

Our officers will patrol neighborhoods throughout the evening to help ensure everyone enjoys a safe, happy Halloween.

🚔 A few safety reminders:

Drivers: Slow down, stay alert, and watch for trick-or-treaters, especially at intersections and crosswalks.

Parents and guardians: Accompany younger children, encourage the use of sidewalks, and remind children to look both ways before crossing streets.

Trick-or-treaters: Wear bright or reflective clothing, carry a flashlight or glow stick, and stay with your group.

Residents: If you're participating in trick-or-treating, please turn on your porch light to welcome visitors.

With a little extra caution and consideration, we can all help make Halloween a fun and safe evening for our community.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween from the Beachwood Police Department!

Community Notice from the Beachwood Police Department

Education is one of the most important tools to make a meaningful difference in our community. Whether it’s crime prevention, safety awareness, or substance abuse education, we are committed to providing high quality resources that support residents of all ages.

To continue strengthening these efforts, Bob Becker with LAW Publications (pictured below) will be visiting local businesses and professionals to share information about our educational initiatives and explain how you, as a sponsor, can support the Beachwood Police Department.

Educational materials play a vital role in our outreach, and your partnership helps us provide valuable resources to students, seniors, and the broader Beachwood community. We appreciate you taking a few moments to speak with Bob during his visit.

If you have any questions, please contact Shannon Diamond with the City of Beachwood at [email protected].
