🐶DOG OF THE WEEK 🐶

👻 GHOST 👻 (Day 5)

Ghost, a sweet six-year-old mixed breed, has been at our shelter for over two years.

Ghost loves big blankets and playing with toys, especially hard plastic toys, crinkle toys, and deer antlers. Fetch is his favorite game. He sits anxiously waiting for you to throw the ball and is overjoyed to bring it back. He’s such a good boy!

Due to his high energy level, children aged 13 and older would be best suited for him. Also, no cats. As always, a meet and greet with any other dog in the home is a must.

If interested in Ghost, please apply at bchsonline.org

🐶DOG OF THE WEEK 🐶

👻 GHOST 👻 (Day 4)

Ghost, a sweet six-year-old mixed breed, has been at our shelter for over two years.

Intelligent and treat-motivated, Ghost knows several basic commands. He’s a loving boy who enjoys walks, but he’s strong on a leash and needs a strong, capable person to handle him.

Due to his high energy level, children aged 13 and older would be best suited for him. Also, no cats. As always, a meet and greet with any other dog in the home is a must.

🫐 Huckleberry 🫐

Huckleberry is a very frightened, small wire-haired terrier mix who is estimated to be around 5 years old. Scared and unsure of people, he trembles when you get near but allows you to pick him up and hold him close. We have no clue about any of his past, but he does appear to be blind in one eye.

Huckleberry warmed up to our office dog, Gilligan and didn’t react at all towards the shelter cats.

Huckleberry requires a patient, understanding family that will help him feel safe. Because he is so frightened, a home with older, calmer children would be best for him. You must have an approved application to meet Huckleberry.

🔎 ISO VOLUNTEERS 🔍

We will be winterizing our outside kennels (which consists of wrapping each kennel with a tarp to keep the wind and snow out) on Saturday, October 31 and are looking for volunteers to help us out!

(Our hope is to one day be able to build real walls with a roof around the kennels.)

Volunteers must be over 18 years of age. Please be at the shelter at 10 am, dressed appropriately to be working outside.

Thank you!
