THE BELLAIRE HOUSE IS NOT BUCKINGHAM PALACE, AND IT CERTAINLY ISN’T THE RITZ! 🖤
Since everyone seems to have an opinion, let me set a few things straight.
On July 18, 2023, I suffered a heart attack that changed my life. I stepped away from the day-to-day operations of the Bellaire House to recover, trusting that the property was being cared for.
When I returned, I discovered there was work to be done.
AND GUESS WHAT? WE’RE DOING IT!
The Bellaire House is nearly 180 years old. For 25 years, it has welcomed paranormal investigators seeking answers about the unexplained.
WE ARE AN AFTERLIFE RESEARCH CENTER. NOT A FIVE-STAR HOTEL!
We’ve had professional exterminators come in, and we take pest concerns seriously. But let’s be realistic. This is Ohio! We have stink bugs, occasional spiders, and dust from State Route 7.
That doesn’t mean we ignore cleanliness.
My best friend Ashley and I have been working tirelessly cleaning, organizing, and bringing this historic property back to life. Wonderful neighbors have also stepped up to help, and I’m incredibly grateful.
As for the broken window, it was damaged after my heart attack. I believed it had been repaired, but when I returned in May, I discovered otherwise. Repairs are being addressed as resources allow.
NOW, HERE’S HOW THINGS WILL WORK MOVING FORWARD.
When your investigation team arrives, Ashley or I will personally greet you.
YOU WILL SIGN YOUR WAIVER IN FRONT OF MY FACE OR ASHLEY’S FACE.
You’ll then have the opportunity to walk through the house, see its condition firsthand, and decide whether it’s the right environment for your investigation.
If it isn’t, that’s perfectly fine. No hard feelings.
But remember, you’re coming to conduct paranormal research, not spend the weekend at the Ritz!
We also expect investigators to clean up after themselves. The refrigerator stays unplugged between visits. Use it, empty it, wipe it down, and unplug it before leaving. Please take your garbage with you.
ASHLEY AND I ARE NOT YOUR PERSONAL HOUSEKEEPING STAFF. RESPECT GOES BOTH WAYS.
I don’t have a million-dollar restoration budget or a corporate maintenance crew. What I have is determination, a best friend who’s willing to roll up her sleeves, and 25 years of dedication to this property.
I didn’t step away because I stopped caring. I stepped away because my health had to come first.
I SURVIVED A HEART ATTACK. I’M BACK RUNNING THE BELLAIRE HOUSE MYSELF, AND I’M GETTING THINGS DONE!
I’m not asking for sympathy. I’m asking for understanding, accountability, and respect.
And to every woman reading this:
BE KIND. BE STRONG. SET BOUNDARIES. AND NEVER LET ANYONE MAKE YOU FEEL SMALL FOR STANDING UP FOR YOURSELF.
The Bellaire House is entering a new chapter.
