It’s time to come together for the annual Keep It Clean Personal Care Drive! β€οΈπŸ’™

Help support students in need throughout Bentonville by donating personal care essentials. Donations will be accepted next week at Apple Glen Elementary and during the tailgating event!

Our fourth graders wrapped up their Middle Ages Unit with a celebration fit for royalty! 🏰 After learning about the history, culture, and traditions of this fascinating time period, students got to bring their learning to life through some medieval fun!

On our last day of parent/teacher conferences, our Apple Glen staff felt the magic today thanks to our AMAZING PTO! πŸ§™β€β™€οΈβœ¨ From the Wicked-inspired decorations to the delicious treats, snacks, and drinks, every detail made us feel so appreciated and reminded us how lucky we are to have such a wonderful PTO supporting our Grizzlies! πŸ’šπŸ©·

Our Apple Glen staff is feeling extra grateful for our incredible PTO! β€οΈπŸ’™

While our teachers stayed late for parent-teacher conferences, our amazing PTO treated us to a delicious catered dinner, sweet treats, and the cutest Halloween-themed setup! From the yummy food to the festive decorations, every detail reminded us just how loved and appreciated our staff is. πŸ₯ͺπŸͺπŸ–€

πŸŽƒπŸŽ¨ Pumpkins, Polka Dots & a Whole Lot of Creativity! πŸŽ¨πŸŽƒ

Our 3rd graders have been diving into the colorful world of Yayoi Kusama, the world-famous Japanese artist known as the Princess of Polka Dots! πŸ”΄πŸŸ‘πŸ”΅

They studied and critiqued her artwork, including her iconic pumpkin creations, paintings of colorful dots, and installations at Crystal Bridges. If you haven’t yet been, her Infinity Room at Crystal Bridges is a must see!

Our Grizzlies put their learning into action by creating their own Kusama-inspired pumpkins! πŸŽƒβœ¨ Each student incorporated her signature style of bold colors and playful dots while adding unique details to make their pumpkin one of a kind!

Through this hands-on art experience, students are learning to recognize an artist’s style, share facts about the artist, and use inspiration to develop their own creative ideas. We love seeing our young artists think outside the box and let their imaginations shine! πŸ»β€οΈπŸ’™

🎨🌻 Learning Through the Eyes of Van Gogh! 🌻🎨

Our 2nd graders have been exploring the world of famous artist Vincent Van Gogh during art class! πŸ–ŒοΈβœ¨

Students studied several of his paintings, looked for similarities, and discovered the unique techniques and artistic style that made his work so recognizable.

Our young artists put their learning into action by incorporating Van Gogh’s style into their own pumpkin masterpieces while adding their own creative touches! πŸŽ¨πŸ’›
