ND Agriculture in the Classroom works hard to promote an understanding of the importance agricultural plays in the state of North Dakota and the values of rural lifestyles. The North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner administers the program with advice of the Agriculture in the Classroom Council.

📢 Shout out to one of our local Ag in the Classroom local schools- Menoken Elementary!

Earlier this week Menoken Elementary invited us with open arms to teach all about local foods to celebrate Farm to School month.

😎The leadership team (7th & 8th graders) gave us a personal tour of the school

🌾The cafeteria was decorated with agriculture factual signs throughout

📌 Check out the map they created showcasing where every item of their meal for the day came from! What a great visual for the kids!

🫛 Legendary Greens taught about microgreens and all the students had the opportunity to try them

🎉Napolean Ag teacher receives Teacher of the Year Award 🎉

Schneider said his commitment to building confidence in students is central to his teaching philosophy.

“I simply have a genuine interest in every student in our small rural school, and I take the time to get to know each student I have in class,” Schneider wrote in his Teacher of the Year application. “Knowledge is power, but confidence is king. If a student believes they can achieve, they will achieve.”
