The Junior League of Boise is a women's organization with nearly 100 years of history in the Treasure Valley. JLB trains women to be leaders through hands-on community service - and right now, our work is focused on fighting food insecurity here in our community.

This week is Idaho Gives (May 4-7), and JLB Is participating our Little Black Flannel campaign. For four days, members are wearing the same flannel shirt to symbolize how poverty limits everyday choices most of us take for granted.

Every dollar raised goes directly to the Junior League of Boise and the food security work we do right here in the Treasure Valley.

Our Spring Provisional members recently had the privilege of dedicating time and effort to support spring cleaning at JEMfriends, and the experience was both energizing and deeply meaningful. 🌿

Community investment is a cornerstone of the Junior League of Boise, and opportunities like this allow us to translate that commitment into tangible impact.

It's immensely gratifying to contribute to an environment that fosters connection, support, and care. We’re sincerely appreciative of the opportunity to collaborate with JEMfriends and to play a small part in sustaining the important work happening within its walls.

Leaders in Action: April with Junior League of Boise ⭐️

This month, Junior League of Boise members are out in the Treasure Valley making an impact and building stronger communities through hands-on service and leadership. ❤️

Here’s where you’ll find us in April:
📅 April 4 – Partnering with Zoo Boise, as a Project 100 Partner, assisting with Easter Eggstravaganza by volunteering, helping activities run smoothly, and contributing to a day that brings joy to our community.
📅 April 16 – Spring Cleaning with JEMfriends. Helping to refresh spaces and support programs that uplift and empower local youth.
📅 April 25 – Leading an Idaho History Walk. A 1.5‑mile walk through downtown Boise and Julia Davis Park, highlighting the Junior League of Boise’s 98‑year impact and the legacy of Idaho women who embodied Revolutionary‑era ideals in support of America250.
📅 April 28 -- Supporting Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS) with the Culinary Club at McMillan Elementary, assisting kids as they prepare and make simple recipes, coupled with a basic lesson.

From uplifting young people to championing education and fostering inclusion, our members show up, step up, and lead with purpose all month long. 🎉

The Junior League of Boise was thrilled to support Zoo Boise's annual Easter Eggstravaganza this year, and what a fantastic celebration it was! From smiling faces and overflowing baskets to unforgettable moments with family and friends, the day was full of joy, laughter, and community spirit.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, and helped make this event such a success. We’re so grateful to be part of a community that comes together to create meaningful, fun-filled experiences for families across the Treasure Valley.
