A building with a BIG purpose.

So excited to see our Veterans have a place built especially to care for those who cared for our country.🇺🇸

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Audrey “Granny” Hix, who passed away Monday, September 21, 2026. ❤️

Granny joined the American Legion Auxiliary on September 17, 1997, and for nearly 29 years, she was so much more than a member. She was part of our family. If there was a meeting, Granny was there. If there was a conference, Granny was there. And you could always count on seeing her at Bingo every single week. The American Legion simply won’t feel the same without her.

One of the sweetest memories we will forever treasure is getting to watch Granny check something special off her bucket list recently. A trip to Las Vegas with friends who were truly more like family. She went, she played, she laughed, and she made memories that we will cherish forever. We are so incredibly thankful she got to take that trip. ❤️

Granny was 96 years young, and what a life she lived. She was loved deeply, and her presence, her familiar face, and the place she held in our American Legion family will be greatly missed.

Please keep Granny’s family and all those who loved her in your prayers in the days ahead.

Rest easy, Granny. We sure are going to miss you. ❤️

We hope to see everyone at the Celebration of Life, October 11th at 1:00 pm.
