Good morning from McGivney! 💚

Thank you to Madison Julian and Emeila Weiseth, senior Psychology majors at Sacred Heart University, for visiting our K–1 members yesterday as part of their Do Good Project!

Through The Rainbow Fish story, discussion, and a colorful art activity, our members practiced listening and following directions while exploring kindness, sharing, and friendship. 🐠🎨

We appreciate you sharing your time and creativity with our members!

Our 2nd & 3rd grade members explored self-expression through art! 🎨 Inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, known for her self-portraits, they created portraits of their own in Arts & Crafts.

Activities like this give our members a chance to explore their creativity and celebrate what makes them unique. 💚

10/12/2026

A day off from school means more time for fun with friends at McGivney! 💚 Our members enjoyed a game of Crayon Box in the gym during today’s Vacation Day.

Activities like these give our members a chance to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy being part of the McGivney community.

At McGivney, Arts & Crafts gives our members a chance to learn, express themselves, and build confidence. 🎨💚

For Hispanic Heritage Month, our K–1 members created masks inspired by Frida Kahlo, a Mexican artist known for her self-portraits. From painting to proudly sharing their finished masks, they put their own creativity into each piece!

These experiences support our mission to provide enriching programs that help our members learn and build self-esteem.

A big thank-you to Turner Construction and MJ Metal for supporting Rock Out for McGivney! 💚 Their sponsorship helps support homework assistance, enrichment activities, and opportunities for our members to grow.

There’s still time to become a sponsor! Join us in supporting McGivney’s After School Program.
