🐾 The Washington County Animal Shelter will be closed on Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth. We will be back open on Saturday, June 20th.

The Washington County Animal Shelter is having floor repairs completed this week. As a result, the dog area will be closed to the public, and we will not be accepting dog intakes during this time. The shelter will remain open for cat adoptions and general assistance. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we make these improvements! 🐾

🚨 LOST DOGS – GLADE SPRING AREA 🚨

Please help us locate two missing dogs, Blue and Dipper, who went missing this morning near Olive Street and Glade Spring Middle School.

Blue is wearing a harness with a leash attached. If you see either dog, please contact the number on Blue’s harness or send us a message.

🐾 Looking for a new best friend? These three adorable female German Shepherd/Husky mix puppies are approximately 4 months old and were recently surrendered by their owner. They are full of puppy energy, curiosity, and are ready to find loving forever homes. Stop by the shelter to meet these sweet girls! ❤️

Buck is an approximately 2-year-old Heeler mix who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. This handsome boy is ready to find a loving home and a family to call his own!
