📈 Bigger pay for Barb Gleim. Higher property taxes for the rest of us.

Since taking office in 2019, PA State Rep. Barb Gleim has received a pay raise every single year, increasing her annual salary by more than 28% — from $88,610 to $113,591. That’s nearly $25,000 more every year.

8️⃣ years. 8️⃣ pay raises.

During that same time, Gleim has voted seven times AGAINST funding Carlisle’s schools and nearly $10 million in potential property tax relief.

While Gleim got richer, Carlisle has become one of the most underfunded school districts in Cumberland County — forcing our schools to raise taxes year after year and cut millions just to keep the lights on.

8️⃣ pay raises for Barb Gleim. 8️⃣ tax increases for the rest of us. Fewer resources for Carlisle schools.

We can’t afford Barb Gleim anymore.
We deserve better.

❌ Barb Gleim says she stands up for our schools. So why does she keep voting NO? 🤔

Carlisle families are paying more in school property taxes. Our schools are seriously underfunded. Teachers are being asked to do more with less. Programs and services are being cut.

And what has PA State Rep. Barb Gleim delivered for Carlisle?

More NO votes. ❌❌❌❌❌

❌NO on legislation intended to invest in public education.

❌NO on measures to protect students and school employees.

❌NO on proposals to bring greater accountability to how education dollars are spent.

For all her talk about standing up for families, protecting taxpayers, and supporting our schools, her voting record tells a very different story.

❌Gleim has voted against major state budgets and School Code legislation that included investments in public education.

Meanwhile, Carlisle remains one of the most underfunded school districts in Cumberland County, and local homeowners are being asked to pay more year after year just to keep our schools operating.

Carlisle families are paying the price. Our students are losing opportunities. And Barb Gleim keeps voting NO.

But it gets worse.

❌She voted NO on emergency asthma medication for students.

❌NO on helping schools respond to children having seizures.

❌NO on childhood lead screening.

❌NO on strengthening penalties for terroristic threats against schools.

❌NO on protecting the pay and benefits of school employees injured on the job.

The emergency asthma medication bill passed the House 192–9. Only nine representatives voted against it.

Barb Gleim was one of them. 🤦‍♂️

We’re talking about helping children who can’t breathe, responding to seizures, protecting students from lead exposure, keeping schools safe, and standing behind injured school employees.

Who exactly is Barb Gleim fighting for when she votes against measures like these? 🤔

And what about taxpayer accountability?

❌Gleim voted against legislation requiring greater transparency in taxpayer-funded private-school scholarship programs, while public school districts like Carlisle are paying millions in charter and cyber charter tuition.

If she believes in protecting taxpayers, why oppose greater transparency over education dollars?

❌She even voted NO on legislation establishing a children’s literacy program inspired by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Free books for young children…
❌NO.

Meanwhile, Gleim has found time to sponsor legislation to police and jail librarians; cut $4 billion a year from public schools; restricting certain school library materials and support efforts to restrict transgender students from participating in school sports.

Carlisle needs funding. Gleim offers culture wars.

Our schools need solutions. She offers NO.

So here’s a simple question:

🤔 What has Barb Gleim actually accomplished to make public education better or more affordable for the families she represents?

Because TikTok videos standing next to cows don’t pay teachers. Political spin and slogans don’t keep classrooms open. And photo ops and country club ribbon cuttings don’t reduce property taxes.

1️⃣7️⃣ bills. 1️⃣7️⃣ NO votes.

And what do Carlisle families have to show for it?

👉Higher property taxes. 👉Underfunded schools. 👉Cuts to programs and services. 👉And a state representative who keeps telling us she’s on our side. 🙄

Carlisle deserves better than a politician who’s always ready to say NO but has so little to show for saying YES.

At some point, you have to stop listening to what a politician says she stands for and start looking at what she actually stands against.

👉 Barb Gleim’s voting record speaks for itself.
And it’s saying NO. ❌
