Today, on National First Responders Day, we recognize the dedicated individuals who answer the call when our community needs them most.

The Village of Carol Stream extends its appreciation to the Carol Stream Police Department and its Social Services Unit, Carol Stream Fire Protection District, and DuPage Public Safety Communications (DU-COMM) for their courage, compassion, and commitment to serving others.

We also recognize our Public Works and Maintenance crews, who provide essential support during emergencies, from clearing roads and maintaining critical infrastructure to responding to urgent facility issues.

Our gratitude extends to our Police volunteers and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members, who contribute their time and skills to support emergency preparedness and public safety.

Whether responding to emergencies, helping residents in crisis, or connecting with families at community events, these dedicated individuals help make Carol Stream a safer, stronger, and more connected community.

To everyone who serves, protects, and supports our community: thank you.
