For many qualifying households in northwestern Nevada, the Weatherization Assistance Program really does mean free help to make homes safer, healthier, and more energy efficient 🏠

Through a partnership between the Community Services Agency Nevada- CSA and the Nevada Housing Division, income-qualifying households in Washoe, Churchill, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey counties, as well as Carson City, can receive weatherization services at no cost.

Services may include an energy assessment, added insulation, air sealing, heating and cooling improvements, and other eligible upgrades that can lower energy bills and improve comfort. If you live in northwestern Nevada and think you may qualify, the Community Services Agency is ready to help you get started.

37 new homes are on the way to Fernley! 🏡💙

Nevada Housing Division Administrator Steve Aichroth recently joined Governor Joe Lombardo, Ryder Homes, and local leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of Wilson Landing, a new attainable housing development designed to expand homeownership opportunities for Nevada's working families.

The development will bring 37 homes to Fernley, with prices geared toward households earning between 120% and 150% of the area median income. Through the Nevada Attainable Housing Account (NAHA), the division is proud to support this project with a $5 million low-interest loan, helping make homeownership more attainable for local workers and families looking to put down roots in their community.

Congratulations to Ryder Homes and all the partners who helped bring Wilson Landing to this exciting milestone! We look forward to seeing these homes take shape, with completion anticipated in 2027. 🔑

More housing opportunities are taking shape across Nevada! 🏡💙

Through the Nevada Attainable Housing Account (NAHA), 12 projects have been awarded funding to support the development of 358 attainable for-sale homes and 1,208 attainable rental apartments.

And these investments are helping stretch housing dollars even further. For every $1 in NAHA funding, approximately $11.50 was leveraged from other funding sources to help bring these projects to life.
