Thanks to the North Carolina NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, our 1st graders went to the Asheboro Zoo at no cost. Favorite animals of the students included giraffes, sea otters, zebras, snakes and many more. They had a wonderful time. .dncr

PSF 5K for Education and 1K Fun Run The PSF 5K for Education and 1K Fun Run is on Saturday March 14, 2026. It includes the following events: Adult 5K, CHCCS Teachers/Staff Only Registration-5K, Youth / Student (18yr and under) 5K, and 1K Fun Run!!.

Today marks the start of EHES annual Food for Friends Drive! Please read on for information on how to contribute: Each year the Estes Hills community joins together in a tremendous food drive to collect nonperishable food items for our own Estes Hills families. This year more than ever, Food for Friends is an important support for our families. Our drive will begin today, Monday, December 1st, and run until Friday, December 12. There are two ways to give: 1. Drop off canned/packaged food items at the school 2. Make a monetary donation via your child’s green folder or the link on the PTA Givebacks Site Ms. Murphy has created a beautiful mural for us to color in to show progress toward our goal. This mural is our visual representation and celebration of the drive. If you need ideas for what to bring, cereal, peanut butter and jelly, pasta and spaghetti sauce, macaroni and cheese, rice, stuffing, tuna fish, canned fruit, canned vegetables, soup, cake/brownie mix, and other things that your children like are great. **Please check dates- we cannot distribute outdated food.
