Ball-Chatham CUSD5 is excited to announce that five schools - Ball Elementary School, Chatham Elementary School, Glenwood Elementary School, Glenwood Middle School and Glenwood High School achieved Exemplary status in the 2026 Illinois Report Card, which provides a snapshot of school performance dates from the 2025-26 school year. Glenwood Intermediate School reached Commendable status.
“Five Exemplary schools and one Commendable school is an accomplishment worth celebrating,” Ball-Chatham CUSD5 Superintendent Dr. Becca Lamon said. “We are incredibly proud of these results while recognizing that our work to grow, improve, and meet the needs of every student continues.”
An Exemplary rating means that students’ IAR test scores exceeded the proficiency and growth target set forth by the Illinois State Board of Education. In addition, Glenwood High School was evaluated for its graduation rate.
“While school designations are just one measure of success, these results are an opportunity to celebrate the incredible learning taking place across our district,” Dr. Lamon said. “They are a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and commitment to excellence that can be found in every one of our schools. Behind every designation are students who work hard, educators who go above and beyond, and families who partner with us to support student success. We also recognize the important contributions of our support staff, who help make this success possible.”
To our students, staff, families, and community, THANK YOU! Your hard work, dedication, and support make Ball-Chatham CUSD5 an exceptional place to learn and grow.
