It’s door-to-door trick-or-treating throughout our Cheboygan neighborhoods! Remember, homes with their porch lights on are typically welcoming trick-or-treaters! 🏡🍭

💙🚔 A BIG HALLOWEEN THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING LAW ENFORCEMENT! 🎃👻🍬

One of the things I love most about our little hometown is the wonderful people who go above and beyond to make it such a special place to live!

Yesterday, everywhere you looked during Downtown Trick-or-Treat and the Haunted Ship, there were members of our law enforcement and fire department community out and about, keeping everyone safe, handing out candy, sharing smiles, laughing with the kids, and enjoying the Halloween fun right alongside all of us! ❤️

And THAT is something worth celebrating!

It’s not just about the protection and safety they provide. It’s about the relationships they build, the kindness they show, and the wonderful examples they set for our kiddos. Those friendly faces behind the badges are people our children can look up to, trust, and feel comfortable approaching when they need a helping hand.

And when that helping hand was needed yesterday, they were right there without hesitation. Just another reminder of how fortunate we are to have them looking out for our community. 💙

I know many of you will be out again tonight, helping make Halloween safe and fun for all our little ghosts and goblins!

To ALL of our law enforcement officers and volunteer fire department snd rescue workers and public safety partners, THANK YOU! Thank you for your service, your smiles, your patience, your kindness, and for being such an engaged and caring part of our community.

One of Cheboygan’s greatest treasures isn’t just our beautiful waterfront… it’s the incredible men and women of the United States Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw! ❤️🤍💙

We are so fortunate to have these dedicated service members as part of our hometown. The longstanding partnership between the Coast Guard and the Cheboygan community is something truly special, built on generations of service, friendship, pride, and tradition. ⚓️

Abby is the new Morale Officer aboard the USCG Cutter Mackinaw, and we had SO much fun visiting with her and SO much great information to share that we had to split our conversation into TWO parts!

Everyone is Welcome! 🎃😂

No dance experience? No rhythm? Two left feet? PERFECT! You’re qualified! 😂

It’s time for our annual Downtown Halloween Witches Dance, and we’re inviting YOU to join the fun!

This is a lighthearted, family-friendly Halloween tradition, purely for entertainment, bringing a little extra laughter and fun to downtown Cheboygan during trick-or-treating!

🧹 Friday, October 30th
🎃 Downtown Trick-or-Treat | 3–5 PM
🕑 Meet at the Chamber at 2 PM

We’ll be dancing throughout downtown every 30 minutes, spreading smiles and having a whole lot of fun along the way!

Here’s all you need:
🧙‍♀️ A witch’s hat

🧹 A broom

💃 A willingness to laugh at yourself!

The dance is SUPER simple — just a few repeating eight-count steps. I’ve broken it down into a video tutorial series so you can learn at your own pace and on your own timeline.
We’ll go through it together a couple of times when we meet at 2 PM. No auditions, no pressure, and absolutely no professional dancers required!
