Last week, Rotary Cincinnati Do Days kicked off with 40,392 meals packed in under two hours!

We set an ambitious goal of packing 30,000 meals for local families facing food insecurity. Thanks to hundreds of incredible volunteers and the generosity of our community partners, we exceeded that goal by more than 10,000 meals!

That’s enough to provide 111 children with one meal a day for an entire year!

And the best part? These meals are staying right here in Greater Cincinnati, distributed through La Soupe to help feed our neighbors in need.

A special thank you to Fifth Third Bank, the Cincinnati Bengals, and all of our incredible sponsors and community partners who made this possible. Your support helped us turn an ambitious goal into extraordinary local impact.

This was just the beginning of three days of service across Greater Cincinnati!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Rotary Cincinnati Do Days possible.

25,000 meals was our goal. Our volunteers delivered!

What an incredible way to kick off Rotary Do Days!

Today, Rotarians and community volunteers…100 in total…came together at A Child’s Hope International to pack 40,392 meals to help fight food insecurity. Each person packed enough food to feed a kid for 404 days!

Thanks to our amazing volunteers, we exceeded our goal of 25,000 meals! Each person packed enough food to feed a kid for 404 days!

This is what Rotary is all about. People coming together, rolling up their sleeves, and making a difference.

And we’re just getting started! Rotary Do Days continues October 15–17 with hands-on service projects supporting nonprofits throughout Greater Cincinnati.

Thank you to every volunteer and partner who made today possible!

Together, we are People of Action.

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, the Rotary Club of Cincinnati welcomed Jamie Smith, Market President & Publisher of the Cincinnati Business Courier, for an engaging program at The View.

Jamie shared insights into Greater Cincinnati’s business community, leadership, and the importance of connecting the people and organizations that help our region thrive. Since joining the Cincinnati Business Courier in 2003, Jamie has played a key role in expanding its influence through award-winning journalism, executive events, and recognition programs that celebrate local business success.

Our meeting was also a special “Pink Out” in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Members showed their support by wearing pink in honor of Jamie’s involvement in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign and in support of Club President Ed Mathis and his family. It was a wonderful display of Rotary fellowship and support for an important cause.

We also held our Annual Member Meeting, during which members heard about the slate of Board candidates and cast their votes for the upcoming term. Past President Anthony Ricciardi presented the candidates and shared information from the Know Your Candidate document.

The slate, previously reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors in August, included the following leadership positions beginning in July 2027:

Chuck Martz – President

Brian Miller – President-Elect (following his service as President-Nominee)

Bob Brandstetter – Treasurer (new two-year term)

Michael Vilardo, Endia Crabtree, and Kelly Lund – Directors (new three-year terms)

We appreciate these Rotarians for their willingness to serve and help guide our Club into the future!

Another highlight of the afternoon was hearing from two of our newest Rotarians, Jim Schurrer of DePaul Cristo Rey High School, Cincinnati and Alen Amini of Starfire/ Boston Consulting Group. Both took to the podium to personally introduce themselves to fellow members, giving us an opportunity to get to know them better. We extend a warm Rotary welcome to Jim and Alen and look forward to their involvement, fellowship, and service!

It was a full and meaningful afternoon of business insights, breast cancer awareness, Club leadership, new member introductions, and Rotary fellowship.

Thank you to Jamie Smith for joining us, to Past President Anthony Ricciardi for presenting our Board candidates, and to all our members who participated in this important meeting!
