🧦 There is still time to participate in Socktober! Socks are one of the most needed items at local shelters and organizations supporting our most vulnerable neighbors. Small things make a difference, and we couldn't do it without you 💓.

As you might know from the hit Pixar movie "Coco", an altar (or ofrenda) is a fundamental tradition for Mexican Día de los Mu***os , which serves as a bridge for family ancestors to cross over from the Land of the Dead to visit their living relatives.
Join us at the Fiske Free Library on Thursday, October 29 at 4 pm to discover more about this central American tradition, followed by a craft in which attendees will learn how to make their own ofrenda at home.
This activity is presented by the Mariposa Museum & World Culture Center and sponsored by the Friends of the Fiske Free Library.

🇵🇱 October is Polish-American heritage month, but you don't need to be Polish-American to laugh&cry about Suzanne Strempek Shea's "Compositions", a memoir in 42 essays about her 8 years of Catholic school, handed in 60 years late 🥟.
Join us Friday, October 23rd at 6 pm for an evening of cathartic fun and nostalgia.
