🚨🏀 BRADLEY COUNTY — WE NEED YOU! 🏀🚨

📣 OUR YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAM NEEDS OFFICIALS!

⚠️ NO OFFICIALS = NO GAMES! ⚠️

We need YOUR help to keep youth basketball alive and thriving in Bradley County! We are looking for individuals who are willing to step up, grab a whistle, and help make a difference in the lives of our young athletes.

🏀 NEVER BEEN AN OFFICIAL BEFORE? THAT'S OKAY! 🏀

You don't have to be a former player or an experienced referee. You just need a willingness to learn, a commitment to fairness, and a desire to give back to your community!

🔥 WHY BECOME A BASKETBALL OFFICIAL? ✅ Be part of the game you love! ✅ Help our youth learn sportsmanship and respect! ✅ Make a positive impact in your community! ✅ Earn extra money while staying involved in basketball!

💥 WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU! 💥

Our kids deserve the opportunity to play, compete, learn, and grow. But we NEED officials to make that happen! If you've ever considered officiating, NOW is the time to get involved!

📞 READY TO STEP UP? CONTACT US TODAY!

📢 SHARE THIS POST! TAG SOMEONE WHO WOULD MAKE A GREAT OFFICIAL! Let's spread the word and get more people involved in keeping youth basketball going strong!

🏀 BE THE REASON THE GAME GOES ON! 🏀

As elementary basketball season approaches, it’s time for:

CATS
(Centralized Answers To See)

1. How do we sign up? Students in Bradley Co elementary schools grades 2nd through 5th can try out for basketball at the school they attend. Same for prospective cheerleaders. Tryout dates and times come from the schools and are organized around gym availability.

2. Home schoolers? They may try out at the school for which they are zoned. Call or email us for more specifics or to check your zone.

Remember to have a backup plan in place, in the unlikely yet very possible event that your kids don’t make the school team or squad. Maybe it’s playing/cheering for the recreation league at Cleveland TN Parks and Recreation. Maybe it’s a different family activity altogether. Having a plan in place ahead of time helps to minimize any hissy fits or epic meltdowns. And as a bonus, the kids are usually pretty happy too.

The First Time for First Person Singular

A few years back, I went off-script with this page. My creative side had been squashed for so long that it started to leak out into the posts. And it just kept going, mainly because I made zero effort to stop it. Instead of just reporting facts, I introduced tough subjects like virtual online baseball, the never-ending distrust of weather forecasts, a barely noticeable obsession with chocolate candies, and the grand adventures of Mortimer and friends. Sometimes I turned the page into a classroom as I dabbled in vocabulary and grammar lessons. And to my great delight, nobody ever questioned why we were teaching the difference between “you’re” and “your.” But as I turn the page to a new opportunity, my much-loved chapter here draws to a close. Almost. Because I’ve been asked to remain on the page as a guest author, and though the contract isn’t yet inked, negotiations look fairly promising.

If you and your coach aren't yet on speaking terms, reach out to our terrific team for introductions. Give them some clues like player's name and birthday to have your mystery magically solved. For expedited requests, please include some kind words as they thrive on praise. And pizza.
