Today, PHI Air Medical Sonora had the pleasure of celebrating the incredible Respiratory Therapists at Adventist Health Sonora!

We treated this amazing team to a delicious lunch from Pinocchio’s and some fun PHI swag bags as a small token of our appreciation!

Respiratory Therapists play such a vital role in patient care, from managing critical airways to providing lifesaving respiratory support. Their expertise, dedication, and teamwork make a difference every single day.

As flight clinicians, we know firsthand how important these partnerships are in providing exceptional care to our community.

Thank you for all that you do! We appreciate you, we value you, and we’re proud to be part of the same healthcare team!

Please join us in congratulating Bailey Dustin-Rimmer, Sonora’s newest Flight Paramedic.

Bailey has successfully completed all of her orientation requirements and has officially been released to independent flight status!

A Tuolumne County native, Bailey grew up and lives in Pinecrest. Early in her career as a paramedic, she knew she wanted to take her skills to the skies. Through years of hard work, studying, and an incredible thirst for knowledge, she has finally achieved her dream of becoming a flight clinician.

When she’s not flying, Bailey is out enjoying the beautiful outdoor playground we call home. Whether it’s fishing, hiking, spending time on the rivers and lakes, or camping and exploring with her dogs, she’s always up for an adventure. And chances are, she’ll return with pockets full of cool rocks and treasures she’s discovered along the way.

Bailey is also a massage therapist and teacher, reflecting her passion for caring for others and promoting wellness within her community.

In Bailey’s own words:

“There are no words that explain how elated and giddy I am to finally have my dream job. I am supported by the best mentors and crew members! We have the best job in the world, bringing intentional and confident critical care to patients on their worst days at 3,000 feet!”

Bailey, your dedication, enthusiasm, and passion for patient care are exactly what makes our team special. We are proud of all you’ve accomplished and excited to watch you continue to grow!

A Great Day in Tuolumne!

Today, PHI Air Medical Sonora had the opportunity to participate in the 1st Annual Ma’u:sh’ Community Safety Fair in Tuolumne.

A huge thank you to the event coordinators for putting together such a great community event, and to everyone who came out to support it. We enjoyed meeting members of the community and spending the day alongside our fellow EMS, fire, law enforcement, search and rescue, and healthcare partners.

Although our Sonora aircraft was unavailable today, we were incredibly grateful for the support of our PHI Air Medical Modesto team. Their pilot brought the EC135 up to Tuolumne so we could still have an aircraft at the event.

It’s always great to see so many agencies and community members come together with a shared commitment to health, safety, education, and preparedness.
