Good afternoon Correctionville peeps! We have another dog that seems to has lost its way. Any ideas who this dog is? The leash must’ve been broken or cable and it’s still attached to the collar.

🎣 GONE FISHING… AGAIN! 🎣

Unfortunately, our City of Correctionville Maintenance Department had to go "fishing" in the recycling containers on 5th Street once again. And trust us, what they caught wasn't anything worth keeping!

This time, they found garbage AND batteries that had been tossed into the recycling containers.

🚨 PLEASE DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN YOUR GARBAGE OR RECYCLING CONTAINERS! 🚨

Batteries can cause fires when damaged or improperly disposed of, putting our sanitation workers, equipment, and facilities at risk.

🔋 So, where can you take your old batteries?

Batteries Plus in Sioux City accepts batteries for recycling! While some batteries have a recycling fee charged by the pound, others can be dropped off free of charge. Please contact Batteries Plus directly for details on what they accept and any associated fees.

♻️ And one more reminder: Our recycling containers are for RECYCLABLE MATERIALS, not household garbage!

Please help us keep our community clean, our workers safe, and our recycling containers free of garbage and batteries!

Thank you for doing your part, Correctionville!

🚧 ATTENTION FARMERS & GRAIN HAULERS – MAIN STREET CLOSURE 🚜🌽

Please be aware that Main Street in Correctionville will be temporarily closed tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM for our Shop the Jog event!

We know harvest is in full swing, and we want to make sure our local farmers and grain haulers are aware of the closure so they can plan accordingly when hauling grain into town.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we welcome visitors to our community for this event!

🌽 Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with local farmers and anyone hauling grain into Correctionville!

Thank you, and stay safe this harvest season!
