Fairview Church - Cross Lanes WV does it again folks! A Fairview Church non-perishable food delivery just arrived at the pantry and pretty much filled up two large shopping carts. Fairview has been a faithful partner of Tyler Mountain Cross Lanes Community Services for many, many years. The parishioners have been so generous, providing food for the pantry, funds to help with emergency services, and extra toys for our Christmas toy program. Please give the fine folks at Fairview a ❤️.

We are located in the basement of Cross Lanes United Methodist Church on Frontier Dr. Go past the front doors and down a small hill and the doors are under the canopy. Our hours are Monday and Tuesday 11am to 230pm. Pantry slips are required for pantry visits. Come to the office to get a pantry slip.

TMCLCS CHRISTMAS FOOD PROGRAM APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE! If you need toy assistance please call 2-1-1 for information. Food applications end December 1st. You must live in the Tyler Mountain and Cross Lanes areas to apply. If you have applied with county wide providers (Salvation Army, Mountain Mission, etc...) or at any other provider, you may not sign up with us. Applications are available in our office on Monday and Tuesday 11am to 230pm until the deadline. We are located in the basement of Cross Lanes United Methodist Church on Frontier Dr.

Senior Citizens living in our service area (Cross Lanes and Tyler Mountain only) -
If you are in need and are spending the Christmas holiday alone this year, you are encouraged to come to the Tyler Mountain Cross Lanes Community Services office at 5320 Frontier Dr (basement of Cross Lanes United Methodist Church) to enroll in a Senior Christmas program. This is separate from our Christmas food program. You may not apply if you are already signed up for another Christmas program, either through a church, another charity, or a stand alone program. There are four days available for you to come and sign up. You may visit the office on Monday or Tuesday from 11am to 2:30pm until October 27th. Applications close at our agency on the 27th of October. Enjoy some cheer this Christmas!

A little later than normal, but we have decided on our Senior Christmas gift for this year. We will be putting together bath and body bags for both men and women. We are planning for 35 bags. If your group, church, or circle of friends and family would like to contribute, these are the items we are looking for:
Large bottles of body lotion
Shower gel for men and women
Two washcloths
A mesh body scrubby
Emery boards
Chapstick brand lip balm (others can be harsh)

We already have puzzle books and ink pens to add.
If you'd like to contribute other items feel free to do so, but these are the core items we will need.

Items must be dropped off to us before December 1st. Office hours are Monday and Tuesday 11am to 230pm in the basement of Cross Lanes United Methodist Church. We will have one evening drop off day, date to be determined as of now.

Hey there supporters! Here is our slightly bigger than usual food pantry needs list for October 2026:
Jiffy Mix (cornbread, blueberry, etc...)
Rice a Roni (that San Francisco treat)
Stove Top stuffing - any flavor
Mac and Cheese - we are actually out!
Canned peas
Baked beans
Saltine crackers
Pancake syrup
Hunts spaghetti sauce (in the can)

As always "we thank you for your support" (some of us "older" folks will get the reference).

TMCLCS FOLLOWERS: the office and pantry are closed this week. Taking a tiny vacation. Please do not call the secretary at Cross Lanes United Methodist Church to ask for food assistance. If your need is urgent, PLEASE CALL 2-1-1 and they will point you in the right direction. Thanks all. We will see you on Monday September 28th from 11am to 230pm in the office.

Well this looks like fun! Anyone in the Cross Lanes area that would like to enter just needs to follow the simple steps outlined in the photos. Then when you have finished your construction, give us a call and we will arrange pick up of your "building materials". Any takers?
