Catherine "Kitty" Williamson Dobson (wife of Dr. W. P. Dobson) with 2 of her grandchildren. Her daughter Lettye married Henry A. Sipe and this is their children Ruth Allen and Sidney Doyne. Sadly, Lettye died at age 30 in 1927, Ruth Allen, who had polio, died in 1931 at age 10, & Sidney died in 1939 at age 16. Henry died in 1945 at age 58.

Everyone is invited to cave guide Destany Standard Lytle 's presentation about the Cushman Blowing Cave this Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2 at the OLD INDEPENDENCE REGIONAL MUSEUM (380 S. 9th St./Old Guard Armory) in Batesville. This will be an awesome presentation. DON'T MISS IT!
Destany Lytle has worked at Blowing Cave for five years. Through her experience, she has developed a deep appreciation for the cave’s unique biodiversity and the importance of protecting its natural environment. Her discussion will explore the diverse life found in and around Blowing Cave, along with the conservation efforts and responsible practices that help preserve this special ecosystem for future generations.
