Beirut ceremony 2026

10/24/2026

Today, we came together in Danbury to honor and remember the 241 U.S. service members who lost their lives in the Beirut barracks bombing on October 23, 1983.

The memorial ceremony was coordinated by the Honorable Tom Saadi, the Danbury Veterans Council, and the Lebanon American Club, bringing our community together to ensure that their sacrifice is never forgotten.

It was especially meaningful to have Beirut Marine veterans in attendance…men who served, sacrificed, and carry the memory of their fallen brothers with them more than four decades later.

We remember the fallen. We honor those who survived. And we remain grateful to all who served.

They came in peace. 🇺🇸
