What a night!! Our 3rd annual BOO BASH here at Friendly Town was a HUGE success. We want to thank all the volunteers that came out to pass out candy and goodies to the kids. Seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes and the smiles on their faces were priceless. A BIG thank you to Chief Yates for this event and making it what special for all involved.

WOW!!! What another great week we had here at Friendly Town. We were able to have run a class during fall break for the kids that unfortunately had to miss in the summer while we were closed due to damage from the storms. We had a great week together and spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather, but it was a little chilly on our last day! We talked about Fire Safety, Bullying, Calling 911 and Stranger Danger. Another thing we did this week was work on our address and phone number and the importance of knowing it. Proud to say that every kid this week was able to memorize their address and phone number in just 4 days.

Don’t forget about our 3rd annual BOO BASH, on Saturday October 24 from 5-7 here at Friendly Town. Hope to see ya there!

Last week we had the privilege of having Ms. Craig and Ms. Cottrell’s class from Danville High School come out and spend the morning at Friendly Town. We talked about fire safety, what number to call for an emergency, stranger danger and bullying. After a little classroom time, we went out and the kids got to ride their bikes around the streets of Friendly Town.

In the afternoon, Ms. Sloboda, brought her class from North Ridge Middle school out. While they we out with us, we also talked about fire safety, stranger danger, calling 911 for emergencies and the importance of knowing their address. They also got to go out and ride their bikes on the streets of Friendly Town.

What a great day with the kids and from the looks on their faces, they had a great time.

What a week to finish up our last week at Friendly Town for the summer classes of 2026. Theses kids accomplished so much in the 3 days that we had class this week. The Danville Fire Department came out again and talked fire safety with us and even let us spray some water off the truck (felt good on that hot day). Carle Ambulance came out as well and talked personal safety and showed us their equipment on the ambulance. And we got a lot of driving time in outside as well this week. Again, what a fun week to wrap up the summer.

Another fun week at Friendly Town! Weather was beautiful again and the temperature was WARM! But we didn’t let that stop us from getting outside. The Danville Fire Department came out again and showed us all their equipment and even let us spray water out of one of their hoses. Hope all the kids learned something and most importantly had fun.

What a week we had! So glad we were able to re-open Friendly Town. The weather again cooperated for us and we were able to get back out and get some time on the cars learning the rules of the road. Our Friends from the Danville Fire Department came back out and taught us a few things on fire safety and they even let us take a turn spraying one of their hoses. Jerry and Drew from Carle Arrow Ambulance came out as well and talked with us about their job duties and some personal safety as well. Thank you to the kids and parents this week for coming out and spending time with us.
