Unlock the future of fine jewelry design. 💎 This intensive seminar focuses on using Gravity Sketch in Virtual Reality (VR) to create intricate custom jewelry and small sculptural pieces. Step into the virtual studio where traditional limitations vanish. You will learn to bypass the constraints of physical tools, allowing for unmatched precision and fluidity as you sculpt your designs directly in 3D space. This hands-on experience is perfect for jewelers, artists, and designers ready to integrate cutting-edge VR technology into their craft.
THE PROJECT: CONCEPT-TO-COMPLETION RING
You will design and fully realize a unique custom ring from initial sketch to final, production-ready digital file. Participants who wish to have their files 3D printed will do so at their own expense.
KEY SKILLS & TECHNIQUES
Intuitive VR Sculpting: Learn the essential tools in Gravity Sketch to translate complex designs into robust 3D forms, working from reference images placed directly within your virtual workspace.
Design Refinement: Develop both the artistic eye for jewelry aesthetics and the technical precision required for small-scale wearable items.
3D Print Preparation: Master the crucial steps for developing 3D printable digital models that are watertight and optimized for high-resolution output.
FINAL OUTCOME
By the end of this seminar, you will have produced a unique, ready-to-print digital file that can be instantly manufactured in the material of your choice, including resin, precious metals (casting), or custom materials. You will leave with a powerful, versatile skill set applicable to product design, prototyping, and fine art.
Virtual reality equipment: VR Headsets will be provided for this class, however, students are welcome to bring and use their own Gravity Sketch compatible VR equipment, as well. CCS equipment cannot be used outside of designated class times.
