I’m running for Oklahoma County Commissioner because county decisions need clear ownership and public accountability, not finger-pointing or silence.

Running for office for the first time has stretched me in all the best ways. It has challenged me, humbled me, and reminded me why showing up matters. I’m grateful for every person who has opened a door, shared encouragement, asked questions, donated, volunteered, or put out a sign. I’m especially grateful my two girls have experienced this with me.

And a special shoutout to Patrick Searcey for all of the behind-the-scenes work that made this campaign possible.

79 Oklahoma County inmates not in court as staffing standoff leaves no one to pick them up 05/11/2026

Another direct result of poor planning and reactive decision making. This transfer issue could have been addressed weeks ago, but instead it turned into an 11th hour scramble that left 79 inmates unable to attend scheduled court proceedings Monday.

When transport failures interfere with court proceedings, who is ultimately accountable? After four hours of discussion Friday, timelines and operational responsibility still were not nailed down.

As County Commissioner, I will continue pushing for operational decisions to be fully mapped out before implementation. Government cannot keep operating in crisis mode and expecting different results.

79 Oklahoma County inmates not in court as staffing standoff leaves no one to pick them up Seventy-nine Oklahoma County inmates did not make it to scheduled court appearances on Monday because no one came to pick them up.

Door knocking as a first-time candidate in a "good ol' boy" district. Good thing I've never been very interested in doing things the expected way. People across Oklahoma County are exhausted from the same jail problems, the same financial messes, and the same excuses year after year. I'm looking forward to changing the narrative.
