🚨 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐌 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓: Residents have reported receiving calls from a person identifying himself as "Deputy Greg Williams" with the Elk Grove Village Police Department. The caller falsely claims the recipient has a warrant for missing jury duty and needs to turn themselves in.

In another incident, the individual left a voicemail and requested a return call while continuing to represent himself as a member of our department. The Elk Grove Village Police Department does not make these types of calls, and we do not employ an officer by that name.

If you receive a similar call, hang up and contact us directly at 847-357-4100 if you have concerns about its legitimacy.

As a reminder:
✅ Be suspicious of callers who create a sense of urgency or demand immediate action.
✅ Never provide personal, financial, or sensitive information to unsolicited callers, even if they claim to be law enforcement or another government agency.

Please help protect others by sharing this warning!
