Many commercial elevators still rely on traditional landlines for emergency communication — but aging communication infrastructure can create reliability challenges.

Cellular elevator communication provides an alternative that can help maintain connectivity without depending on traditional phone lines. Modern systems can also support real-time monitoring, remote management and stronger resilience when physical wiring is damaged or disrupted.

For property managers evaluating aging elevator infrastructure, the communication system is an important piece of the modernization conversation.

🔥 Would first responders have reliable radio coverage throughout your building?

Fire Prevention Week is an important reminder to consider every layer of your facility’s life safety strategy—including emergency communications.

ERCES helps enhance public safety radio signals in areas where construction materials or building design can interfere with coverage, helping firefighters and other first responders stay connected during an emergency.

SMG Security can help support ERCES solutions for your facility.
