Today, Hose 1 had the privilege of spending the morning at Archer Elementary School delivering a hands-on fire prevention presentation to some of the most energetic and curious little learners in town! 🚒🔥
Our crew rolled up with the apparatus and got fully geared up so the kids could see exactly what firefighters look and sound like when we respond to a call — helmet, SCBA, turnout gear and all. From the moment we stepped out, the courtyard was filled with wide eyes, big smiles, and a whole lot of questions. We walked them through the basics of fire safety, demonstrated our equipment, and made sure every child got a chance to see that under all that heavy gear is just a friendly face ready to help.
The best part? Watching the kids light up when we knelt down to their level for high-fives, handshakes, and a few laughs. Moments like these remind us why community education is such a big part of what we do. Fire prevention starts young, and these little ones absorbed every bit of it.
Huge thank you to the entire staff and teachers at Archer Elementary for welcoming us with open arms and for making fire safety a priority. You all created the perfect environment for the kids to learn, ask questions, and have fun doing it.
Proud to serve Freeport and even prouder to help keep the next generation safe. Stay fire safe, Archer Elementary — we’ll see you again soon! 💪🚒
