🎉Congratulations, Garner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources! 🎉

Garner PRCR has earned accreditation status for the third consecutive time from the Commission for the Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and National Recreation and Park Association. The department’s reaccreditation was celebrated at the Oct. 22 Town Council meeting.

To receive CAPRA accreditation, Garner PRCR provided evidence of compliance with more than 150 standards that represent best practices in the administration and management of parks and recreation agencies.

Garner PRCR was first accredited in 2015. There are currently only 222 accredited parks and recreation agencies in the United States.
