Hunger affects thousands of people in Campbell County.

According to Feed the Children, Wyoming is among the ten states with the highest rates of food insecurity in the country. Feeding America estimates that 13.7% of Campbell County residents, around 6,240 people, experience food insecurity.

During the first half of 2026, our Soup Kitchen served more than 21,660 lunches. Our Food Pantry assisted an average of 441 families each month, including nearly 300 children.

Behind every number is a person in our community who could use a little extra help. Swipe through to see what hunger looks like in Campbell County, then read our latest blog to learn how food rescue and community partnerships help us respond.

Thank you, Coal Country FFA!

Emma and Alta with Coal Country FFA dropped off 450 lbs of food donations and 400 lbs of pumpkin after their fall festival last weekend. We appreciate the support and love having pumpkins at the food pantry just in time for Halloween!

“Meat”-ing the need! 🥩

Thanks to generous donations from Navajo Transitional Energy Company (NTEC), WRC Energy, and the Wyoming Sportsman’s Group, our Food Pantry has received more than 1,400 pounds of local beef and pork.

Meat is one of the most difficult items for our pantry to keep in stock, and it is often one of the first things families cut from their grocery lists when budgets are tight. These donations will help ensure more of our neighbors have access to quality protein when they need it most.

Thank you to these community partners for helping us keep local families fed!

If you’re attending Treat Street today and brought a food donation for our pantry, you can place them in pumpkin buckets at our table. Or you can scan the QR code to make a donation to the food pantry.

Otherwise, we are grateful for this free event for families to attend to show off your costumes and get some candy.

Thank you for the support! 🎃🎃

Wyoming is among the ten states with the highest rates of food insecurity in the country. Here in Campbell County, Feeding America estimates that 13.7% of residents, around 6,240 people, experience food insecurity.

These numbers show why food rescue matters. Our newest blog introduces Fran, the Food Rescue Van, and explains how rescued food helps us meet needs while keeping good food from going to waste.

🎃 Help us fill the pumpkins to fill the pantry! 🎃

Our Council staff got into the Halloween spirit and put their painting skills to work creating these fun jack-o'-lantern food donation buckets!

Keep an eye out for our pumpkins at some upcoming Halloween events this weekend, and help us fill them with nonperishable food donations for our hunger programs!

It’s tiiiiiime! 🎶🎅

While Mariah is defrosting for the holidays, we are getting ready to feed families for the holidays!

Our CCS Christmas Basket Volunteer sign-ups are officially OPEN, and we need our wonderful community to help make the season a little brighter for local families.

Last Friday was our monthly service day at the Soup Kitchen. Besides our amazing regular volunteer crew, we were also so blessed to have four of our seminarians join us in serving lunch!
