Our members had a great training session with Roger Audette of Pine Point Fire Training, focusing on “1st Due Without a Crew.”

This was an excellent opportunity to work on first-arriving officer and firefighter responsibilities, sharpen our decision-making skills, and learn how to operate effectively when arriving before the rest of the crew.

A huge thank you to Roger for coming out and sharing his knowledge, experience, and expertise with us!

We also want to thank the Jackson Fire Department for joining us for the evening. Training together helps strengthen our departments, build relationships, and ultimately makes all of us better prepared to serve our communities.

Train together. Learn together. Be ready together.

Today Bartlett Fire responded to Rolling Ridge Road for a reported tractor fire.

Engine 2 responded with a crew, and 21C1 responded directly to the scene. Upon arrival Engine 2 found a fully involved tractor on fire.
A request was made for additional water and manpower from Jackson Fire, who responded with Engine 8 and a crew.

Thanks to the quick response and teamwork between Bartlett Fire and our mutual aid partners, the fire was knocked down quickly.

A big thank you to Jackson Fire for their assistance and continued mutual aid support.

This is what teamwork looks like — departments working together to protect our communities. ❤️

đźš’ Weekly Training at the Firehouse đźš’

This week, our members put together a homemade obstacle course focused on victim rescue skills. Two firefighters at a time worked through the course in the dark, in full gear and on air, practicing how to locate, reach, maneuver to, and safely remove a victim while working together in challenging conditions.

Firefighters never know what they will encounter when the call comes in. Training through challenging and unpredictable scenarios helps our members prepare to work through obstacles, make decisions under pressure, and safely reach those who need us.

It doesn’t have to be fancy. We use what we have, get creative, and make the most of every training opportunity. What matters is putting in the work and staying ready for our community.

Train together. Stay ready. Serve our community. 🔥💪
