Granbury Bass Club-EMAIL QUESTIONS TO [email protected] or [email protected] We are a family friendly bass club, based out of Granbury TX.

Our membership is 40.00 per household, and our monthly tournament fees are: $35.00 (includes Big Stringer & Big Bass) per angler. There is an optional $5.00; this includes $2.50 for Blind Draw and $2.50 for the Calcutta pot. We fish individual and team format, but contestants may fish together in the same boat. Our tournament lakes span across the DFW Metroplex. The club members nominate and vote on tournament lakes at the monthly meeting. The montly meeting is always held the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the Spring Creek BBQ in Granbury. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].

Lake Whitney was selected for this month’s GBC member tournament. This is a 5-bass tournament. Weigh-in is at the 2-lane Cedar Creek ramp and has no fees according to Texas Parks and Wildlife.

Dates: 17 & 18 October
First Cast: 7:00 AM

GBC competed its Gene Warford Memorial Tournament this weekend at Lake Brownwood. Congratulations to Shane Timm on his 1st Place finish, followed by Terry Jones in 2nd Place and Big Bass, and Robert Messier in 3rd Place in the club championship! Looking forward to the 2026-2027 season! Come join us!

GBC finished in 2nd Place and boasts Big Bass at the Bass Clubs of North Texas Top 6 Fishing Tournament at Lake Texoma this weekend! Congratulations to Bill, Shane, Duane, Terry, Tom and Frank on a fantastic finish and for representing the club. Extra congratulations to Bill on his 6.16lb tournament Big Bass. Shout out to No Frills Grill for sponsoring the team!!!

Lake Bridgeport was selected for this month’s GBC member tournament. This is a 5-bass tournament. Lake Bridgeport has largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass. According to www.boatlaunchramp.com, there are no ramp/launch fees.

Lake Brownwood was selected for this year’s Gene Warford Memorial Tournament, the GBC Club Championship. This is 2-day, combined weight tournament with a 5-bass limit per day. This is a members-only tournament; guests are not allowed.

Lake Brownwood is off-limits from 19 September through 1 October. Members can pre-fish on 2 October.

The backup lake will be Lake Whitney.

🚨 IMPORTANT TEXAS TOP 6 UPDATE 🚨

Due to the current lake levels and uncertainty surrounding ramp availability on Cedar Creek Reservoir, the Texas Top 6 will be moving to Lake Texoma at Denison Dam.

This was a very difficult decision to make. We understand that changing locations this close to the tournament is a huge ask for our clubs, anglers, and families. However, the safety of our anglers has to come first, and we feel this is the best decision for this year’s event.

We also know that many of you will now need to make new lodging arrangements, and we are doing everything we can to make that transition a little easier.

We are currently working with several local hotels to secure discounted room blocks for our anglers and families. If you can hold off on booking lodging a little longer, I will share information on that in the next day or two.

Tournament Date: September 27th
Official Practice: September 25th & 26th
New Location: Lake Texoma, Denison Dam

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and flexibility as we work through this change. Please share this information with your club members.
