Girls on the Run...East Meadow Style! Girls on the Run is so much more than running. This wonderful program helps girls build confidence, develop friendships, practice teamwork, and recognize their own strengths, all while encouraging healthy habits and a positive mindset.

A HUGE shout-out to our fantastic coaches, Mrs. Kogut, Mrs. Naglieri, and Mrs. McMahon, who coached these girls all season and recently organized a practice run to help our girls prepare for their upcoming big event. What made the day even more special? So many of our incredible East Meadow staff came out to cheer on our runners and show their support. There is nothing better than seeing our EM family come together to encourage and celebrate our students.

We are so proud of our girls, grateful for our dedicated coaches, and thankful for the amazing staff who always go above and beyond!

A huge thank you to our amazing PE teacher, Mrs. Kogut, for going above and beyond to inspire our students to get active and discover the excitement of cross country!

For the past several years, Mrs. Kogut has helped spark an interest in running by organizing opportunities for our East Meadow students to participate in a middles school cross country event. Her dedication to encouraging students to try something new, challenge themselves, and experience the joy of being part of a team is truly appreciated!

Thank you, Mrs. Kogut, for creating these wonderful opportunities and helping our young Rams develop a love for fitness, teamwork, and school spirit!

We received the Innovation Career Pathway Grant from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and we are in search of partnerships with local businesses in the environmental sciences field (agriculture, biology, chemistry, ecology and physics) that could provide internships for our students for the 2027-2028 school year. Questions? Comments? Please message us here or send an email to Scott Freniere (Assistant Principal at GJSHS) at [email protected] Know someone we could partner with? Tag them here or share this to help us find local partners!

DDS Children's Autism Waiver Program

The Children’s Autism Waiver Program allows children to receive Expanded Habilitation, Education which are in-home services and supports such as Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Floor Time, and Relationship Development Intervention (RDI), for a total of up to 3 years. At the conclusion of the 3 years of the intensive in-home services, a child may access ongoing Supplemental Services (for example: respite and goods and services, etc.) that meet the child’s needs and help with the transition out of the intensive portion of the Autism Waiver Program—until the child’s 10th birthday.

Exciting STEM news for Granby Junior Senior High School 🔬🧪

We are proud to share that our school has received grant funding from MassBioEd in partnership with the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC).

Thanks to this grant, our science classrooms are receiving brand-new lab technology, equipment, and hands-on support from MassBioEd scientists during the 2026–2027 school year. Our students will get to practice real-world biotechnology techniques right in the classroom!

Thank you to the Massachusetts Life Science Center and MassBioEd for empowering our teachers and inspiring our future scientists! 👏✨

We had a visit from Senator Jake Oliveira and Representative Homar Gomez For State Representative to deliver a check to Granby Public Schools with funds they procured from the Fair Share Amendment. The funds went to supporting our innovative pathway in computer science and cyber security for specialized materials and equipment including laptops, 3D printers and filament.

We are proud to offer career pathways to our students while being a public school system with the support of our state senators and representatives! Thank you for all you do for Granby!
