This month’s Parenting On the Go session is titled “Learning at Home Made Simple: Reading & Math Support for K–5.” In this session, parents can explore easy reading and math activities that fit naturally into your family’s daily routine. On October 20 at 9:30 a.m. at the Grand Family Service Center located at 1301 E. Coral Way, Grand Prairie, TX 75051, you will learn about fun resources to help build math skills.

We are excited to invite our Ochoa families to our upcoming Math-O-Ween STEM Trunk-or-Treat Night!
Thursday, October 22, 2026
6:00 PM–7:30 PM
Ellen Ochoa STEM Academy
Students and families will enjoy a fun-filled evening with hands-on math and STEM challenges, trunk-or-treating, games, and exciting activities!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
To help make Math-O-Ween a huge success, we are asking families to help us collect donations.
PreK–1st Grade:
Please bring cakes/treats beginning Tuesday, October 20th for our Cake Walk.
2nd–5th Grade:
Please bring individually wrapped candy. Candy donations may be brought to school starting now!
Every donation helps us create a fun and memorable experience for our students. Thank you for helping make Math-O-Ween a success!
MATH-O-WEEN TICKETS
Tickets are available in advance for $1 each.
Buy 20 tickets and receive 2 FREE!
On the day of the event, parents will also have an opportunity to purchase tickets from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM.
DISGUISE-A-PUMPKIN CONTEST
Students are invited to bring their creativity and show us how they can disguise a pumpkin!
Transform your pumpkin into anything you can imagine—just don't make it look like a pumpkin!
The winning student will receive a FREE DRESS PASS for the week of October 26th–30th!
Please remember that students should take their pumpkins back home the same day after the event.
We can't wait to see our Ochoa students and families come together for a night of learning, creativity, and Halloween fun!
