CASA of Brown County Nonprofit organization providing a voice for abused and neglected children under court protection.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Brown County is a member of The National CASA/GAL Association for Children and the Wisconsin CASA Association. We operate a CASA child advocacy program in Brown County, Wisconsin.

We recruit, train and support CASA volunteers who are professionally trained and supported by our staff. They visit with the child regularly and submit a monthly report to the judge on the child's safety and well-being to help the judge make important decisions about the child's future. A CASA volunteer is often the only consistent adult presence in the life of an abused or neglected child. A child with a CASA volunteer is more likely to get help with other services, spend less time in foster care, find a safe, permanent home, and do better in school!

On Friday and Monday, Judge Hock helped us welcome five additional individuals from our most recent training cohort as they took their oaths and officially became CASA volunteers.

Each of these individuals has made the decision to show up for a child who needs someone in their corner. We are so grateful they have chosen to give their time, compassion, and commitment to children in our community.

We see every day what can happen when a caring adult shows up for a young person. We also know there are hundreds of children in our area waiting for someone to step up for them.

That’s why we’re so thrilled to be launching the “Step Up. Show Up.” campaign.

This new regional effort joins Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin, Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Wisconsin, CASA of Brown County and CASA of the Fox Cities in a collaborative effort, with support from the J. J. Keller Foundation, Inc. Our shared goal is to help more volunteers discover opportunities to mentor and advocate for youth across Northeast Wisconsin.

You don’t have to change every child’s life — but you can make a world of difference for one. All you have to do is step up today and show up tomorrow.

A heartfelt thank you to the Ladies of Lambeau for welcoming us to your annual event as a community affiliate!

Attendees assembled Welcome Baby Kits filled with essential items to help babies and families through those first few weeks of life.

We are grateful to have been part of this special event and to receive bags that we can share with families we serve who have newborns. At CASA of Brown County, we provide advocacy for children from prenatal through age 18, and these kits are a wonderful way to support families and help little ones get a strong start.

Thank you to the Ladies of Lambeau and everyone who helped make these kits possible!

Last night, we had the honor of swearing in 16 new CASA volunteers! đź’™

Each of these individuals has made a commitment to show up for children in our community who have experienced abuse or neglect. Through their time, dedication, and advocacy, they will help ensure every child has a caring adult in their corner.

Thank you to our newest volunteers for answering the call to advocate for children. We are so grateful to have you on the CASA of Brown County team!

In 2025, CASA of Brown County served a record 326 children. This year, we have already surpassed that milestone, serving 361 children and counting!

As more children need a voice, we’re growing our team to meet that need. We’re hiring an Advocate Supervisor to help prepare, mentor, and support CASA volunteers as they advocate for children in the child welfare system.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by empowering volunteers, ensuring children’s voices are heard, and helping children move toward safe, stable futures.
