I’m grateful to share that my Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) certification has officially been renewed through December 31, 2027.

This certification means a great deal to me because peer support is more than a credential — it reflects lived experience, recovery, service, and the responsibility to walk alongside others with hope, respect, and understanding.

I’m also continuing the next step in my journey by working toward Family Peer Recovery Support Specialist (F-PRSS) certification. That process is especially meaningful to me because of my own family caregiving experiences and my desire to better support parents, caregivers, and families navigating mental health, substance use, trauma, recovery, and systems of care.

A very special thank you to Logan Community Services for believing in the mission of Neighborhood Hope Dealers, Inc. dba Hope House Guthrie and for stepping forward in our continued partnership. Your support of our peer workforce and willingness to collaborate means more than I can say, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue building a stronger network of recovery support in our community.

I’m also thankful for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services PRSS team and everyone who continues to invest in Oklahoma’s peer workforce.

I’m looking forward to continuing to grow, serve, and use both lived experience and professional development to support individuals and families in recovery.

Recovery includes learning to enjoy life, build friendships, and feel connected. 💙🧡

Lamont, a current participant in Hope House Guthrie’s Life Transformation Program: Streets to Stability, is building that community with people like Brian.

Brian is one of our scholarship recipients, and he also gives back through mentorship. He takes Hope House clients and staff to Oklahoma City Thunder games, creating opportunities for fellowship and time together, clean and sober.

These outings are about more than basketball. They offer a chance to laugh, cheer, build relationships, and experience the joy that can be part of recovery. Having someone make time for you—and walk alongside you—matters.

We’re grateful for Brian’s investment in others and for moments like this with Lamont. Every shared experience is another opportunity to strengthen the connections that help people keep moving forward.

Sometimes the smallest blessings leave the biggest footprints on our hearts. đź’™

Our Hope House Guthrie family is celebrating the arrival of little Elliott Charles Wayne Helms — 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 19.5 inches of pure sweetness.

Elliott represents more than a new beginning. He is part of a family whose story is connected to Hope House across generations — a reminder of growth, perseverance, love, and what it means to keep moving forward.

There is something incredibly special about watching new life enter a place built around hope. We are so thankful to welcome this precious little man and to watch him grow surrounded by people who care deeply for him.

Welcome to the family, Elliott. You are already loved more than you know. đź’™

đź’™ Stepping up to the plate to fight hunger!

Hope House Guthrie’s Administrator, Frankie Garcia-Leon, and Kitchen Manager, Kenny Yerton, had an awesome time at Hungry for Action 2026 in Tulsa!

A heartfelt thank you to Hunger Free Oklahoma for providing the scholarships that made our attendance possible. We met wonderful people who are fighting the good fight and working to ensure our neighbors have enough to eat. 🍽️

We returned encouraged and proud to continue serving neighbors who might otherwise go without a meal. We know how important it is to keep the conversation going, speak with our state legislators, and work together toward a hunger free Oklahoma.

Thank you to everyone sharing ideas, building partnerships, and taking action. We’re grateful to stand alongside you! 💙

What a beautiful evening of fellowship at Singing in the Park with Church of God Guthrie. ❤️

We are especially grateful for Dena Porter, one of our board officers, whose church home has supported Hope House Guthrie from the very beginning. Dena & the Church of God family have continually shown up with encouragement, fellowship, mentorship, & genuine care for the people we serve.

Getting to spend time together at Mineral Wells Park, sharing food, music, conversation, & community was a wonderful reminder of how important it is to have people in your corner.

We are truly thankful for this church family & for the relationship we have built over the years.

God bless you all, & thank you for continuing to walk alongside Hope House Guthrie. ❤️

💙 MYTH: People experiencing homelessness don’t have jobs.
FACT: Having a job does not always mean having an affordable place to live.

In the Oklahoma City metro housing market—including Logan County—a full-time worker needs to earn $19.56 an hour to afford a modest one-bedroom rental, or $23.92 an hour for a two-bedroom, without spending more than 30% of their income on housing.

At Neighborhood Hope Dealers, Inc. dba Hope House Guthrie, our Temporary/Emergency Program provides up to 90 days of support for clients who need a couple of months to save for their next apartment or home. 🏡

Nearly all clients entering this program already have a job, have been maintaining sobriety, and have a negative drug screening at intake. They hit the ground running—setting their SMARTIE goals, saving money, and taking steps toward stable housing.

With safe shelter, three daily meals, and basic essentials, clients can focus on building the savings and stability needed to move forward.

Sometimes, the missing piece is time, support, and a safe place to get ahead. đź’™
