We ❤️ our cafeteria staff!!

Something deliciously fun is cooking up at Frank O'Bannon Elementary School, and our cafeteria crew is ready for Halloween. 👻 🧡 Introducing the O'Bannon Burger. 🍅 🧀 🥬 🍟

Our amazing cafeteria team is bringing the Halloween spirit with their creative burger-inspired costumes. From the tomato and cheese to the hamburger, onions, lettuce, fries, and ketchup, this crew has all the ingredients for a fantastic celebration. 🎉 🍔

We love seeing our staff get creative, have fun, and bring extra smiles to the cafeteria. A huge shoutout to this incredible team for always serving up great food and even better school spirit. 🧡 👏

Ms. Jones’ CKLA lesson today was on sensory details. Her class took a sensory field trip finding nouns and describing them with adjectives for each of our 5 senses. The field trip lead them to look at the halls, listen to the cafeteria sounds, feel the textures outside, and smell the different scents of things around the school and classroom, ending finally with remembering different tastes they have experienced.

Mrs. Fields’ class just read The Year I Got Polio in CKLA. To celebrate the end of the unit, they made cards for kids in the hospital❤️. Since they read about Peg and her hospital stay, the students appreciate how lucky they are to be able to go to school every day.
