The Allison Hook & Ladder Company No. 2 is a Pennsylvania corporation chartered in 1905. Slowly but surely !!

The fire house is owned by Jason Lloyd who leases it to the Fire Company.

It was a busy few days around Allison Hook & Ladder No. 2, with fire prevention, community outreach, and plenty of activity at Station 2!

On Saturday, members were joined by the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire at the Latino Festival, providing fire prevention information and materials to the community. We even had some extra help from two members of Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company from Newark, Delaware, who were visiting and jumped in to lend a hand.

We also want to thank Harrisburg Mayor Wanda Williams and State Representative David Madsen for stopping by, spending some time with us, and chatting with our members about the work being done in the community. We always appreciate the opportunity to connect with our local and state leaders.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming National Volunteer Fire Council NVFC Chairman Steve Hirsch to Allison, helping him check another stop off his bucket list with a visit to our historic firehouse!

Throughout the weekend, members continued staffing Harrisburg Bureau of Fire Station #2- Kings Of The Hill and being available to serve.

Then on Monday, several members gathered at Station 2 to receive NFPA fire prevention kits donated through local State Farm representative Tyrone Iacono. We greatly appreciate Tyrone and State Farm for providing these important materials to support our ongoing fire prevention and community outreach efforts.

This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,” is an important reminder that fire prevention continues to change along with the hazards in our homes. These materials will help us continue sharing that message and other important fire safety information throughout our community.

From staffing the station to educating the public and welcoming friends from across the fire service, it was another great weekend of service, fellowship, and prevention at Allison.

This past weekend, several members of Allison Hook & Ladder Co. No. 2 proudly represented our organization at the Pennsylvania State Weekend at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. U.S. Fire Administration

This year’s event marked a historic record attendance, bringing together firefighters from across the Commonwealth to strengthen the fire service through education, leadership, and collaboration. Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner

Our members participated in a variety of professional development classes, gaining valuable knowledge and skills that they will bring back to better serve the City of Harrisburg and our community.

In addition to the educational opportunities, our members attended the Pennsylvania Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service, taking time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty over the past year. Their service and dedication will never be forgotten.

Throughout the weekend, members also took advantage of numerous networking opportunities, building new relationships and exchanging ideas with firefighters, officers, and leaders from departments across Pennsylvania. These connections help strengthen the fire service as a whole and foster future collaboration.

We are proud of our members for their continued commitment to learning, leadership, and honoring the traditions of the fire service. Investing in training today helps ensure we are better prepared to protect our community tomorrow.

As President of the Allison I want to thank everyone that stopped by during Pump Primers and supported us. We love seeing old friends and making new ones.
Remember even though the muster is moving next year we will be here to welcome you back to the Allison.

This time tomorrow night Ladder 12 will be accompany by at least 2 antique engines as we are prepared and ready for 50th Pennsylvania Pump Primers. Our doors open at 4pm tomorrow please stop by.
