Lincoln County Deputy Ryan Terpsma answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice in service to his community. He will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Terpsma's friends and family, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, and the entire Eureka community. I encourage my fellow Montanans to join me. In Montana, we back the blue. As Attorney General, I will do everything I can to provide support to the community and ensure justice is served.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the tragic loss of one of our own, a Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy who was killed in the line of duty last night.

Our hearts are broken. Please keep our fallen deputy's family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

I stopped by the Montana Law Enforcement Academy today to thank the cadets for choosing a career in law enforcement to protect their communities.

I also visited the Montana Highway Patrol Dispatch Center to thank them for being a calm voice in an emergency situation.

On National First Responders Day, thank you to all of Montana's first responders for the work you do and the sacrifices you make every day.

If the radical environmental activists are successful in striking down Nationwide Permit 12, oil and gas development will be put at risk. I requested to intervene in the case to keep NWP 12 alive and protect oil and gas development in the U.S.

Today, I am proud to join Vice President JD Vance in pledging to continue our fight against fraud. The Montana Department of Justice is working alongside the Trump Administration to protect Montana taxpayers and hold fraudsters accountable.

I can report that our efforts have been successful. Recently, we uncovered $2.4 million in fraudulent Medicaid claims, the largest in the Montana Medicaid Fraud Control Unit's history. In another case, a Billings woman agreed to pay $50,000 as part of a plea agreement resolving fraudulent Medicaid claims. This summer, we charged two licensed counselors in separate cases involving over $1 million in fraudulent Medicaid claims.

We are also working tirelessly to stop fraud and scams against the elderly population. This year, our Elder Justice Unit has provided education and training to hundreds of Montanans to help them recognize a scam and know where report it if they fall victim to a fraudster. They are also committed to investigating these crimes against the elderly and prosecuting the fraudsters. Earlier this year, we were able to get over $100,000 in restitution for a victim in Big Horn County, and they have dozens of other cases ongoing.

The Colorado Department of Corrections' DEI training enforces racist stereotypes that violate employee's civil rights. I hope the Supreme Court steps in to stop discrimination in the workplace.

Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen is asking the Supreme Court to revive a discrimination case against a DEI training in Colorado.

I joined Tony Perkins yesterday to discuss the Trump Administration's commitment to fully protecting and restoring parental rights in K-12 schools across the nation.

Parents have the fundamental right to direct the care and upbringing of their children. I'm glad we have a president who agrees.
